In 2017 Quiksilver celebrated its 10 Year anniversary working in collaboration with Cottage by the Sea. Each December the Quiksilver Foundation and Cottage by the Sea hold a surf day in Torquay enabling up to 40 kids from some disadvantaged backgrounds to experience surfing for the first time. This special day is part of the CBTS Reef Program, which helps kids gain confidence and resilience to battle the challenges life has to offer. From this program many children and have had greater opportunities and stronger control over their own futures.

Through the Cottage by the Sea, the Quiksilver Foundation also donates clothing to help families in need and support throughout the year.
