The goofyfooters of Cronulla have always had something going on. Going back over the years you’ve got Banksy, Occy and Dog to name a few, and now you can add the name Connor O’Leary to that list. The 17-year-old with the crispy forehand fin throw has got some big ol’ dreams of making the world tour, and is on the golden path already. Last year he traveled to Peru as to contest the Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championships, and like Jake Sylvester, has scored himself a scholarship with Surfing Australia’s High Performance Centre. This year Connor embarked on a round the world trip cruising through Asia with a win in the Inaugural WQS event in Korea and is currently in the middle of an extensive European leg of the tour.
