With Rounds 1 and 2 completed and a spell of lay days coming to an end, tomorrow should hopefully see the world's best surfers taking back to the water in the first stage of the 2014 ASP World Tour.
So far we've seen some major upsets with some of the biggest names going down in the early heats. Quiksilver team riders Tiago Pires (Portugal) and Travis Logie (South Africa) came out of blocks firing, eliminating Jordy Smith and John John Florence in their respective round 2 heats. Meanwhile, 11 times world champ Kelly Slater, along with team mates Dane Reynolds (wildcard), Jeremy Flores and Freddy Patacchia took their Round 3 spots directly with their round 1 wins.
With Snapper Rocks not producing it's world famous conditions, the pros have been cruising up and down the coast getting in some free surf madness. Get your dose of the action between the heats below and stay tuned for our second clip!
