Freddy P: Thanks, Legend

You’ve seen the news - Freddy Patacchia wrapped up 11 years on the WCT with style by scoring a 10 in his first heat at Lowers then hit the sand to announce his retirement. After his post-heat interview, he hit the locker rooms to hug it out with his mates… and that’s when the ‘gram got a bit emotional.

I've seen Fred win Lowers as a grom in the NSSA in 1999. Was at the Nike Lowers Pro for his win in 2009 and here we are in 2015 where he dropped a #10pointride and an 8.90 to say farewell to the WT. We've worked together for the last 13yrs and he has always been a pleasure & class act. Happy to share the 1st & 2nd retirement beers with you and @jrgdale. Cheers @freddyp808
