Going into the 2018 Hawaii season — aka crunch time for any competitive surfer — Jesse needed a huge result to keep his place on the WSL’s Championship Tour. Most people would have cracked under the pressure. They would have been overly nervous and made things hard for themselves. But Jesse just put his head down, worked hard and stayed positive.

The result? Not only did Jesse re-qualify for the Tour, he also won one of the most prestigious events in our world — the Triple Crown of Surfing.

For most people, it’s an honour second only to a World Title. And for Jesse, it’s a moment he’ll remember for the rest of his life.
